Full Professor of English and Language Education
I am currently Full Professor of English and Language Education and Head of International Relations at the Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning (INSPÉ), University of Strasbourg where I teach in initial primary teacher education. My research and teaching interests include teachers’ knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about languages, teacher education for the support of second language acquisition, teacher language awareness, language and identity construction and teacher plurilingual well being. I am committed to fostering critical teacher language awareness, developing collaborative home–school relationships and helping teachers support bilingual learners in the classroom and have been involved in several national and international research and teacher education projects focusing on language awareness, multilingualism and intercultural education.
